What am I trying to accomplish with my life and eventually with my book: To Glorify God with the things he has done in our lives to inspire others to follow Him, too! He blesses abundantly those whose hearts are fully His! God still makes a distinction in our lives, just like he did in the lives of the Israelites in Egypt. He gave them light in surrounding darkness, protection from flies, protection from the death of their livestock and the elements, advice to follow with provision for life in the midst of death, if they would follow His instruction. If they did not follow his rules, he was not obligated to save their lives. This included a sacrificial lamb, blood on the doorposts and lintels, eating the meat with unleavened bread, and staying inside until morning. Even the Egyptian natives and foreigners could choose to follow and be safe, if they would be circumcised and follow the Lord's instructions. (Ex. 12)
Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”(John 14:6) And in answer to, “What can we do to perform the works of God?” “This is the work of God: that you believe in the One He has sent,” and, “I assure you: Moses didn’t give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the real bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the One who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” (John 6:28-33)
God did this to show His power and to make His name known in all the earth. (Ex. 9:16) I want to increase the knowledge of His name and His influence, because I have experienced Him and want others to know this joy and peace. "I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live." (Deut. 30:19)
