We were cleared for travel, and fly out Friday morning, tomorrow, to assist and serve a YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Discipleship training school (DTS) outreach team who are serving the nation of Saint Croix. We heard that the DTS team will arrive the same day. We will do lots of different things on the base, and we will let you know as we know. We are flexible and expect to serve in many different areas.
Delores is doing well. She loves to receive calls from us, but we find it very frustrating to visit with flowers and a balloon for the New Year, and still not even see her.
Dejan's mother is doing so much better, she is enjoying her friends, and was able to get an eye exam from funds received from us. The bill was exactly what was given one month.
We had a wonderful time with our family all together in our home. It was a wonderful week and we hated to see it come to an end. We ate together, played together, went to the Georgia Aquarium, laughed, and I cried when they left.
We had a chance to visit a number of friends, which was very special, including Carolyn, the German family and visiting Jezdimir family, all whom we know from Bosnia, Taylor's family, our local family, and our wonderful church family, as well.
We have not found a couple or family to rent our home yet, though a missionary family who were turned away from China because of a COVID test peculiarity for one in their family considered it, but found a mission house where they could stay. Another couple moving to the area came to check it out, but they needed to be closer to his job. Our lovely home could be a great blessing for the right person, or couple.
